Ohio State’s unexpected Wildcat package against Iowa raises questions. Was Ryan Day quietly sending a message to motivate Legend Bey, the dynamic freshman running back, by designing a formation tailor-made for his skillset? Bo Jackson ran it on key downs, but is this just an attempt to motivate the freshman?
Freshman wide receivers Brock Boyd and Chris Henry Jr. are quietly carving out crucial roles. With consistent snaps rivaling Brandon Inniss and standout performance in downfield blocking, these rising stars are impacting the game beyond the stat sheet. Could a shift away from the current two-tight end look unlock even more from Ohio State’s young wideouts this season?
