Julian Sayin’s future as the Ohio State Buckeyes’ quarterback hangs in the balance after a potentially season-ending injury. Will Sayin ever return to his dominant, accurate self, or does his absence open the door for Luke Fahey or even a transfer portal contender to claim the starting job in 2027?
Redshirt strategies are thrown out the window by the NCAA’s new 5-for-5 eligibility rule, putting an end to preserving freshmen like Legend Bey or Khary Wilder for extra seasons. With injuries no longer affording extra years, the clock is ticking for every Buckeye.
